Bintan Island
Located less than 50 kms. south-east of Singapore, Bintan is the largest of 3,200 islands in the Riau Archipelago, the third largest of Indonesia's 27 provinces. Eat ! ... pamper your tastebuds at the Thai restaurant Baan Aarya. The kitchen makes extensive use of fresh herbs and spices grown in its own garden; vegetarian and dietary requirements can be catered for. The "Dinner Gastronomique" five-course set menu (available weekends and public holidays) is highly recommended ! Guests staying within the Nirwana Gardens complex can catch the resort shuttle bus to the restaurant, while guests at other hotels can ask their hotel concierge to arrange a Indorent or BBC taxi.

Getting to Bintan Island

High-speed catamaran ferries cross in 55 minutes from Singapore's Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal (TMFT) to Bintan Island's Bandar Bentan Telani Ferry Terminal, near to the northern Bintan Resorts development resort area. Information on ferry times and fares, and online ferry ticket reservations, are available on the Bintan Resort Ferries website.
